Description of the genus

Small shrub. Leaves opposite, entire, densely appressed white-hairy. Inflorescences white, capitate, almost sessile above the upper leaves. Partial inflorescences of 1-2 sterile and 1-2 fertile flowers. Perianth segments 5, 3-nerved, ± long-aristate. Stamens 5; pseudostaminodes 0. Ovary with 1 ovule. Capsule with a firm pilose apex.

Worldwide: 1 species in southern Africa: Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa

Botswana: 1 taxon.
