Description:
Multi-stemmed shrub or small tree. Leaves elliptic to obovate, thinly textured. Flowers creamy green, inconspicuous, unisexual on different trees. Fruit fleshy, berry-like, white.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: virosa: with an unpleasant smell.
Habitat: In woodland and along riverine forest margins, often on rocky outcrops or termite mounds.
Flowering time:Aug - Dec
Worldwide distribution: More or less throughout the Paleotropics.
