Description:
Deciduous straggling shrub or sometimes a climbing liane. Leaves opposite or subopposite, elliptic to broadly ovate, thinly textured, finely velvety below, turning red to plum-coloured in autumn. Flowers greenish-yellow in sparse axillary spikes. Fruit 4-winged, wings becoming red while centre is green, drying to golden-brown.
