Spiny shrubs, densely branched, spreading. Leaves usually in fascicles, sessile to subsessile more or less fleshy, entire. Flowers solitary or in fascicles, usually on leafless branches. Perianth infundibuliform, 4 (5)lobed; lobes spreading. Fruit enclosed in hardened, elongated, longitudinally 4-winged perianth-tube. . Worldwide: Two species in South Africa Botswana: 1 taxon. |
