Chorisochora Vollesen

Description of the genus

Perennial or shrubby herbs. Leaves simple, opposite with entire margins. Flowers pedicellate, solitary or in groups of 2-3; bracts papery. Calyx deeply divided into 5 subequal lobes. Corolla 2-lipped, hairy on the outside with cylindric tube. Fruit a 2-3 seeded capsule.

Worldwide: 4 species, one in southern Africa (Botswana and South Africa)
