| Notes: | Shrub; Notes: Densely branched shrub. Bark dark grey, obscurely cracked; young branchlets slightly zigzag, very densely pubescent. Leaves alternate, simple; stipules linear, paired, 2-3 mm long, caducous; petiole stout, 1.5-2 mm long, densely velutinous; lamina elliptic to obovate, up to 35 x 15 mm, apex acute, base obscurely rounded, margin denticulate, adaxially dark green, abaxially paler olive-green with prominent reticulate venation, both surfaces with brownish stellate indumentum affording a harsh, scabrous texture. Flowers past. Fruit a berry, globose, unlobed, fleshy, yellow to red-brown, stellate indumentum becoming glabrate, axillary, 1 per cluster, 1 cm in diameter. |
