Notes: Shrub; Notes: Shrub, 1.5 m high. Branches green-brown with white floccose indumentum especially conspicuous on young branchlets which also bear dense, pale brown, stellate indumentum and scattered, straight prickles. Leaves spirally arranged, simple; petiole slender, adaxially grooved, yellow-green, 10-20 mm long, curved, densely pubescent; lamina ovate, apex acute, base rounded but oblique, margin entire, sinuate, 30-55 x 12-20 mm, dull yellowish olive-green with dense brownish, stellate hairs on both surfaces tending to become adaxially glabrate, venation abaxially prominent, yellowish, furry to the touch. Flowers past. Fruit a berry in axillary, scorpioid cymes, usually 2-3/cluster, globose, fleshy, up to 1 cm in diameter, shiny, orange-red when mature, poisonous. Sepals 4, fused, persistent at fruit base. Seeds many, cream-coloured, flattened, discoidal, 2-3 mm in diameter, embedded in fleshy pulp.
