Hairless, aquatic, annual herb; slightly fleshy. Stems 6-12 cm, more or less leafless below. Upper leaves opposite, obovate, clustered at the ends of the stems and floating on the water surface. Flowers axillary, on pedicels 4-10 mm long. Calyx 2-2.5 mm, divided almost to the base. Corolla white with purplish, mauve or magenta markings; upper lip 4-5 mm long, entire; lower lip c. 8 mm long, 3-lobed. |
