Evergreen shrub or tree usually 4-10 m tall. Leaves: petiole more than 5 mm long; lamina 5-12 × 1.3-5 cm, oblanceolate to obovate, dark green above, densely white-hairy beneath; margin entire or obscurely toothed. Inflorescences offence terminal panicles or short raceme-like panicles. Phyllaries acute, extending down the peduncle. Florets dull yellow, without rays. Achenes 3-4 mm long, c. 8-ribbed, sparsely puberulous, crowned with barbed setae, 4-5 mm long. |
